About David Nguyen

Who am I? If you’ve made it this far, you’ve probably already know what I do, which generally are Web and Multimedia Development. For more information about my skillsets visit my Skills page, and if you want to check out my previous projects, visit my Projects page.

But if you’re curious about who I am underneath all that, well, this is where I tell you all about that! I am David Nguyen, obvious enough. I have a love and passion for all things artistic and media. Being born in an era of fast growing television and internet, I find myself attracted to those things. That lead me here now, creating websites and occasionally filming and editing video content.

A lot of my passions also interlace with those things. For example, I am a dancer. What kind of dancer? A locker. What’s a locker? You’ve seen them before, but probably never really knew what they were. One of the very first, if not the very first, street style dance that was spawned from the funk scene. Nowadays, I dance to funk, hip hop, and house, but generally, if there’s music, there will be dancing!

I also have an appreciation for another kind of art. Martial Arts. Go figure, I’m Asian, and I do martial arts. Stereotypes aside, I’ve always been into Martial Arts, and my history range from Tae Kwon Do, Capoeira, and Kyokushin Karate. In my youth, I was also into the Martial Arts Tricking scene, which is a high-flying, stylistic, and flashy artform full of kicks, twists, and flips.

Another interest of mine that I like to mention is Web Comics or Cartooning. This relates to my hobby of drawing things in my younger days, and even to this day. Although not as much as when I was younger, I try to draw things that peak my interest, but specifically, I like the style of cartooning and web comics. It’s almost another outlet of doing skits or sketches, but instead of live video, it transfers to a still image (and sometimes animated).

Well, those are some quick summaries of what makes me the person here before you right now. I have many other interests as well, but there simply isn’t enough time in the world to be there for all of them, unfortunately, but these are the things that are usually more constant in my life.
